Ugh...

Potty Training Sucks!

And Oliver hates it just as much as I do.

So far, I've only been able to get him to sit on the potty, but nothing has gone in the potty.

I thought that letting him read this book would inspire him, but now he only wants to go so he can read. {and I only let him ready this book when he goes}

Wet underwear, here we go...

Potty training really does suck, and it takes forever. Good luck and happy pooping :)

We have been potty training Aaron off on and for awhile now. We tried a few months ago and he just wasn't really interested yet, but we've been trying it again this past week and it has been much more successful. I'm certainly no expert, but we've found that doing some sort of dance or song they think is funny or cool helps a lot. We had some sort of dance for Peter and Aaron loves the Atlanta Braves so we do the Tomahawk Chop every time he goes potty and he loves it!
Good luck, it does suck but I'm sure it will click for him soon.

It is so rough and accidents never really stop BUT here is what worked for Campbell: The cheap froggy potty from walmart, Thomas, and Dino underwear (he learned really quick that he didn't want to poop in his underwear- we would just through them away, actually we made him through them away) and the large very cool mug full of water that he drank while sitting on the potty watching Cars... then he could understand the feeling of when his bladder was full and he needed to pee and what it felt like to pee in the toilet. treat/ bribes didn't really work but for the first few weeks we spent alot of time asking if the "pee pees were ready" and "trying" and then he would get a mini M&M every time he tried.GOOD LUCK!!!

P.S. we went back n forth the fist little bit, but I can say that was one of the worst mistakes we made. Campbell still asks for a diaper when he feels like being lazy.... and sometimes he pees his pants and then says " see mom, I need a diaper":(
