Park City Weekend

Every year we go up to our time share in Park City around Thanksgiving time. I really enjoy it because even though there may not be any snow in Bountiful, there is usuall always snow up in Park City around this time so it makes it feel like the official kick off to the holidays.

This year we drove up Friday evening and spent the weekend with The Kattelmans.

For about 7 years, we have been keeping up the tradition to pick our a new ornament for our Christmas tree. We always go to the same Christmas store on Main Street. This year was the year of the Owl.

We also walk up and down Main Street and visit the kid friendly shops and marvel at all the expensive ones. We even picked up some carmel apples from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Delish!

It was 16 degrees outside with snow covering the sidewalks so we decided to go into the LDS Family Tree Center to get warm and to say hi to the missionaries. We ended up staying for about 45 minutes. The boys played on the computer, Kat looked up some ancestors and we even watched a 10 minute video on gratitude. They even took this picture of us and gave us a copy.

While we were up there, also went shopping, played a new game called Tsuro, drank Martinellis, ate at El Chubasco,The boys went sledding, drank hot chocolate, played video games, and watched TV and movies.
Both nights I could not sleep, but especially Saturday. I wasn't feeling very great and at 3 a.m., I puked all over the bathroom (how I missed the toilet, I do not know). I quickly cleaned up, Luke loaded our things (including our sleeping Oliver) and we drove home in the middle of the night. Finally at 4 a.m., I was able to get some much needed rest in my own bed. As much as I love going up to Park City, I can honestly say that I was so happy to be home.
