Easters

Easter morning. The East Bunny brought a few goodies for the babies. Oliver was so excited that even the babies got some fun things.

On or around Easter, we usually have a dinner and Easter egg hunt at my house. This year since my mom was just recovering from surgery, we decided to move it to her house to make it easier on her.

After a delicious dinner, we had the traditional egg hunts. First up, the adults with the money hunt.
Here are our winners.
Taleesha found #1=$10
Luke found #3=$20
Kat found #8=$20
And Wendy found #3=$50

The kids were next. We had so many eggs to hide and were running out of places to hide them.
And then the confetti eggs came out. At this point, I was glad that this wasn't done at my house.
 There was confetti everywhere.
And then the real eggs came out. Tayten got Phia unexpectedly and so she got her revenge.

Best news of the night was when my sister told us she was pregnant. Such great news especially after the struggles they have been through. They brought pink and blue cookies to celebrate the news.
And these chunks in their Easter best. I love them.

Blessing Day

Yesterday was perfect. Luke had the privilege of giving Briony and Milo a name and a blessing in sacrament meeting. We were joined by our family members and friends and I was so touched by the sweet blessings that Luke gave our babies. They were beautiful.
For Briony
*He blessed her that she would be a strong daughter of our Heavenly Father
*A good example to her brother, Milo and Oliver and her parents.
*He let her know how grateful we are for her
*He blessed that she would be able to feel the spirit and that she may be guided through prayer and receive the answers she seeks
*To find a worthy companion to be sealed to in the temple.
*He blessed her that she may be able to bare children of her own and be a wonderful mom and raise righteous children
*That she will get a strong education and be able to provide for her family
*He let her know that we love her.

For Milo
*He blessed him to be a strong example to his family, his twin sister, older brother and parents.
*That he could watch over his sister, protect her and be a good example to her.
*To have the desire to be a missionary all his life and the to serve an honerable full time mission
*To pray often and search for the true and right things
*To feel the spirit and receive answers to his prayers
*He blessed that he may be able to find a companion to be sealed to in the temple
*He blessed him to have a healthy life
Like I mentioned, we were joined by so many we love.
Luckily the weather wasn't as bad as it could have been and the luncheon was wonderful. I only wish I would have taken more pictures.
Loving our babies.

We truly feel so much love for all three of our children (even though Oliver isn't pictured). I feel as though I have been so blessed in this life to be able to call them my own. I am so grateful for the family I have been given and for the gospel in my life that teaches us and promises us the rich blessings of the plan of salvation. Today, I couldn't help but feel so much love for and from everyone and especially my Heavenly Father.

Insta-Update

Here is the insta-update for the past week or so. Again, so much happens that I instagram and I never think to blog about it...so I just insta-blog.
Enjoy...and this time with their original captions and hashtags.

Amy is so nice to watch these babies once a week while I go to work. It's a good thing too because they have told me that they love her.

Memory Monday 3

Sometime in the year 1984
Age 1-2

It goes without saying that I was a chubby baby, and I mean chubby. One of my mom's friends always said that she loved my chubby legs and just wanted to take a bite out of them. This particular friend had mentioned to my mom that there was a baby pageant coming to The Salt Palace and that she should enter me in it. So my mom did.

1984 at its finest. How beautiful is my mom too.

I believe this was the swimsuit competition of the pageant

Formal wear and in our crowns.
One of the things that I love about looking back on these pictures was that everything was home made. My mom was so talented that way. She always made our dresses, made sure our hair was always done and we were always clean. I recognize that in just about all my child hood pictures.
I love that I was getting a snack of some sort here. Gotta stay fed...I may wither away.
Waiting for the awards

I ended up winning 2nd place for beauty and winning 1st place in my age division for "Chubby Champion".

I never lived that down and from then on out, I was nicknamed "chubby champion" from my family.

30 years later.

My mom doesn't remember much about the pageant so I am glad that we still had these pictures and that we kept my trophy's after all these years.

Soccer Season

Oliver started soccer this week and we couldn't be happier. He needed something active after being cooped up all winter long.
On Thursday, we got to meet his team and his coaches and they had a practice. Oliver was so excited to go to  this and you could tell he was having so much fun. His coaches were great too.
His first game was on Saturday. He has a really good team with a lot of active team mates which will be great for Oliver to learn from.

His team ended up winning 11-1.
His team mate, Trey scored 7 goals. Oliver scored 1. Hudson scored 1. Henry scored 1 and the other team scored in their own goal.

I'm so proud of their team. Go Blue Royals!

2 Month Stats

We took the babies to see the doctor for their 2 month wellness check up. They got weighed and measured and we were surprised that they {especially Milo} didn't weigh more, but they are still very healthy and getting very chunky. They also got their first vaccinations. The oral vaccination caused them both to puke all over the nurse. They both had to get a second dose. They both cried hard when they got their little legs poked, but Milo especially lost it. It was so sad to see them cry so hard, but we couldn't help but laugh at those sweet helpless cries {sounds terrible, I know}. I asked the nurse if a lot of parents cry and she said "yes, all the time." When we asked her if any laughed, she said that this was the first. Poor babies.
Milo had a hard time the rest of that night. Every time he moved his legs, he would cry the saddest cry...I was not laughing anymore. Poor little guy. Briony on the other hand, did just fine. She acted as if nothing had happened.

In a nut shell, he is short and fat with a big head. I love every squishy part of him. He's turning out to be just like his big brother, Oliver.
