Absence

I can't believe that this month is already gone. So much has been going on and life has been good. I have some catching up to do on my blog about my mini vacation/Luke's spring break, but in the meantime, this is what we have been doing and what I have for now.

Watched Ethan and Kade from 14th-17th. This was the only picture I got of them together. They were watching a movie like this...crack me up.

Watched the Jensen Hoard from the 19th-21st. As you can see Oliver loved it.

Celebrated Dad's birthday on the 20th and broke away from the kids for a couple of hours to have dinner with him.

And lastly, I was officially released from my calling on the 21st. After 2 great years, I guess my time was up.

Coming up...I get to tell you how fun it was to hang out with this guy for a whole week. Stay tuned.

( The man in the picture is, believe-it-or-not, Luke)

Happy St. Patty's Day

Hope you're wearing your green...

Oliver is officially 18 months today. Wahoo! This morning we went to see Dr. Templeman to make sure that he was progressing along just fine. And he is. His favorite part was playing with the reflex hammer and Dr. Templeman's light.

After some measuring and weighing, these were his growth stats...

*Weight 27.31 lbs-70%
* Length 32.75 in-65%
*Head Circumference 20.7-100%

I sometimes look at Oliver and can't believe that he is my child. That he grew inside my belly for 9 months. That he calls me mom. That he nearly runs to give me hugs. That he shares many of the same attributes that I have. And that he loves me.

We sure love you too!

Kids will be kids

Last night I got to hang out with some of my favorite little people. The Jensen kids. Oliver LOVES these guys and every time I pull up to their house, he notices and starts to point and make very excited noises.

The kids wanted to make brownies as their treat for the night and so brownies we made. Watching them each eat the yummy chocolaty batter was so funny. I just had to document it.

A few (we wont name names) didn't believe me when I said that they had chocolate all over their face and we had to wash up, so I took a picture of each of them to show that they really did have messy faces. They thought this was pretty funny. I guess I could have sent them each to look in the bathroom mirror, but what fun is there in that???

And to finish off the night, we thought it would be fun to watch Popeye..that's right the 1980's version with Robin Williams and Shelly Duvall. The kids were loving it (even though Oakley and Aiden are shooting stink eye looks at the camera).

The night was excellent...until Oliver decided to freak out a couple of times in the middle of the night and not sleep. We ended up packing up and heading home at 4AM.
Thanks Jensen kids for letting us play and hang out. We sure love you!

BANFF

This year we headed to BANFF Mountain Film Festival for 2 of the 3 nights that they were here. It was awesome! Sure, we didn't win any of the cool prizes, but it was still so much fun to go and the films were fantastic.

The first night we double dated with our friends Brittany and Kassidy. We headed to The Pie to gorge ourselves and then up to Kingsbury hall. It was very refreshing to go out on a real date...sadly, I don't remember the last time we had done that.

The second night, I met up with Luke and brought my cousin Juan-Carlos along with me. He loved it and once again, so did we.

Hopefully we can make it to Radical Reels next month where they show all of the high adrenaline filled films. I'm sure it will not disappoint. If anyone wants to go with us, let us know!
