Valentines Day

Well, we hope that everyone had a great Valentines day. I thought I'd write to let you know we spent ours. Here goes...
Tuesday Morning Luke and I awoke to a nasty little surprise everywhere in our living room. Wednesday when we finally got home from work after the horrible snow commute, there was another nasty surprise in Mooses room...only it wasn't little this time. That night into Thrsday morning, Luke (mostly) and I had to wake up every other hour in the middle of the night to let Moose out...Yes, He had diarrhea to the extreme! Our poor Mosse is so sick and it's making me sick. Last night we had to bathe him and clean the floors (for the 4th time). We had to feed him runny rice and force pepto bismal down his throat which resulted in another mess and when we finally were able to break free for a nice dinner with my family, we were hoping the whole time that we would finally be able to come home to no mess and a nice smelling house. An hour and a half later when we did get home, we got the best valentines present ever...no squishy poo piles anywhere! I am so greatful to Luke for being so willing to help out with Moose. He really did everything and only really complained once.

Igloo making with the scouts

Last night for scouts we rented the IceBox Igloo maker from Wasatch Touring. Which looks like this. Sad to say this is the second time we have tried to use this crazy contraption to make a snow igloo and it didnt work. I give up, I am never going to rent this stupid thing again. The first time my wife and I rented it because it looked so easy from the instructional video on Youtube. But, we tried to make it and after 2 hour of work it colapsed. So I thought well it was our first try maybe we did it wrong. Well since the scouts were going to go on a winter campout we thought it would be fun to make the igloos to sleep in. so we rented it last night to try it out before we went camping and we had the same crappy outcome. So never again will i rent that stupid thing. It turns out that after it colapsed we just piled up the snow and made a snow cave in a quarter of the time it to to mess with that supid thing. I give the Icebox Igloo Maker a 1 out of 10.

Our first attempt

Looking pretty good so far

And then it fell.

These next pictures are of the snow cave we made after we tried the igloo maker again. Moose was helping dig.

Moose fell into a crevasse and couldnt get out. It was funny because this happened twice and he would just sit there and wait for me to pull him out.

The old couple

This weekend, Luke and I decided to take it easy. After a whole week of house sitting and being uncomfortable in someone elses home, we finally were able to relax and sleep in our own bed. I think we were both so tired and careless as to what we did that night that we just sat in bed and flipped through the channels. We came upon this 60's infomercial about music from the 60's and 70's. We didnt relaize until after about 20 minutes into it that we were acutally watching this. We even started to play a game of who knew the most songs. After about the 3rd cycle of the same music. We turned it off and went to bed. I just thought that is was so funny that this is how we spent our evening.

Groundhogs day

At approximately 7 AM EST on February 2, 2008 the world discovered Punxsutawney Phil's weather prediction...he sees his shadow - predicting six more weeks of winter!
I wouldn't have believed this from yesterdays weather, but after todays morning commute in the snow, I'm cursing that dreaded groundhog.
