I'm thankful for...(week4)

Finally the last week of my thankful posts.

*I am grateful for the THANKSGIVING holiday! There is nothing like being with family and friends to celebrate the things that you are thankful for AND to eat really good food!

*Being home after being in a house of Chaos and being able to sleep in my own bed.

*My parents. I love talking to my Mom and Dad. My dad is so funny.

*Ryan and Karina for putting up with Luke and I. And also to Karina for always being up to taking our pictures.

* Moose. Although at times he gets neglected, I really am thankful that he is a good dog and obeys us and listens to us most of the time. He is also really great with Oliver.

*For good food. I really have a lot to learn when it comes to cooking and I'm thankful that other people know how to do it so well.

*Trent and Amy and their willingness to watch Oliver so that Luke and I could go on a double date. Thanks you guys!

*Luke for taking me to see a movie that I wanted to see. (we usually go see his super hero movies) This time we saw Twilight.

*Kelly and Stacey for being such fun friends.

*The month of November. I love this month because people show more gratitude towards the things that they are thankful for. It was a great month.

I'm thankful for...(week 3)

*Transportation. I'm thankful for our cars and the transportation that they provide us. AND gas prices that allow us to actually use our cars now for leisure activities.

*Park City!! YEEAH! This week we got to go up there to our time share and even though it's just 45 minutes away, being there just seems like I'm out of state and I love it up there this time of year.

*Oliver's schedule. This week I tried to alter Oliver's schedule a little to see how it would work and he wasn't having it. So I am SO grateful that the schedule that he has now works. It keeps all three of us happy.

*My family. This Sunday we had dinner at my parents house with everyone just like we do every other Sunday and it's so much fun to get together to play games and hang out. Playing Pictionary with the kids was the funniest thing.

*Luke. Have I mentioned how great he is?

I never thought that I would get so giddy over a movie, and I hadn't until recently, but I am SO excited to go see Twilight. In fact, last night I told Luke that I was so tempted to go to the 2:30AM showing all by myself, but I probably would have fallen asleep. I have complete confidence that the cast will make this movie what it's suppose to be. Call me lame, but I really can't wait!

3 years

So this month would mark 3 years that I have been working at SPS. Sadly that came to an end the other day when I made it official that I was no longer going back and deciding to devote all my time to being a stay at home mom and wife.

Here are a few pictures of the past 3 years. Thanks you guys...Cami and Ashley, I know your watching. I'll miss you 2 the most!

This was on Cami's birthday. Digging into the most desirable lime tarts.

Curtis. Our VP.

Halloween 2007

Ugh! The Warehouse days. NOT one of my favorite things from past positions.

Box days. Oh the box days

Pretty much the best supervisor EVER!

One of my very last days of work...and we went golfing.
I'm really going to miss the great talks and laughs with Cami, Quoting the same movies over and over again with Ashley and hearing her incredible laugh, Giving Cindy a hard time about being an old lady, Always just giving Trevor a hard time...poor Trev, and sharing the Humor that only Adam could appreciate.
I wish I had more pictures to post of everyone that really impacted my life. Thanks to everyone who made coming to work worth it and tolerable.

I'm thankful for...(week 2)

This week was a very special week. As I was thinking of what I'm thankful for, I was having a hard time coming up with things. So, these things may be small, but I am so thankful for them.

*Adoption. We found out this week that Some friends are finally getting a baby. What a blessing! I am so happy for them and even though it doesn't directly effect me, I am grateful for moms that are willing to place their babies in better homes and in better situations.

*My health. I am so grateful that I am healthy and able to exercise and be happy

With that being said...

*I am so thankful to my aerobics instructor. She is so amazing and makes exercise so much fun to do, even though it's really early and doesn't get paid for it. Thank you Lori!

*I am thankful that I was able to work at such a fun place for the past 3 years. I cleaned out my desk on Friday and I was really sad to go. I'm going to miss everyone I grew close to, but I'm grateful for all that I learned and experienced while I was there.

*My house. It may be a simple home, but I love it. I love the location and how close we are to most of our families. I am thankful for the protection it provides and the warmth it gives.

*My chubby baby. We went to the doctors the other day and he weighed in at 13 lbs. 3 oz. He's a tank!

* I am grateful for all of our nieces and nephews. Oliver is so lucky to have 16 cousins. I can't wait until he's a little bit older and can join in on all the chaos and fun.

* I have some of the greatest friends that anyone could ask for. They do so much for me and I really appreciate them and their families. You girls know who you are...

NERF toys and BAKER boys

Last night all 4 of the Baker boys came over to play for a few hours. At first I was the only one watching them so we watched a Little bit if Wallace and Grommet. They kept asking when Luke would be home because they know that when Luke's around they'll be able to play with the Nerf guns and they know that Luke will build them the coolest fort. So 8:30 came along and Luke walked in the door. The boys started cheering that Luke was home and that's when the fun began.

They all picked their guns and were separated into 2 teams. Spencer and Tayten were on a team with their command post being the fort in the office room and Luke, Kade and Ethan were on another team with their post being in Oliver's room (don't worry-Oliver was with me in the safety zone).

Showing off their weapons of choice

Waiting for the attack

Get Him!!!!

Luke had so much fun with these boys. He can't wait until Oliver can join in on the wars.

Total Chaos

This was my favorite shot of the night. Luke had the younger ones put on their "helmets" Unfortunately we found out that they didn't work out that great when Kade yelled "Oh no He got me in the cheek".

Finally, we cleaned up and settled down for the night. Thanks for such a fun night filled with so many laughs, Baker boys...We'll have to do it again soon.

He makes me melt...

Today marks Oliver's 2 months. Oliver is such a JOY to have in our lives. We absolutely love our little guy so so much.

His favorite things these days are:

*Food (of course...just look at those cheeks)
*His swing
*When I sing to him
*His Binky
*When I put cream on his face

His dislikes are:

*Being naked
*Losing his Binky
*Getting lotion put on his body
*Having his clothes changed

Things that I have noticed about Oliver:

*His eye lashes grew in pretty much over night
*When he smiles, it's the biggest smile ever and I LOVE it.
*He has really long fingers like mine
*He is very expressive with his eyebrows
*He loves hearing his dads voice
*He has the cutest dimple right on top and in the middle of his forehead. It's too cute.

I'm thankful for... (week 1)

With the month of November I'm always reminded of the things that I am thankful for. So, I decided to post a weekly list of the things that I'm thankful for that I have noticed throughout the week. That way I won't forget the little things.

Here goes

  • I am thankful for an hour of extra sleep. What a difference 1 hour makes.

  • I am thankful for Modern day medicine and the knowledge that doctors have these days. I have the best doctors ever!
  • I am thankful for the snow. I hate being cold, but I love that the snow makes it seem more like the Holidays are here.
  • I am thankful for my calling in the YW program. I have learned so much serving those girls and I have so much fun with them and the other leaders.

  • I am thankful for music. I can't express enough how much I love music. Just recently I joined the ward choir in my attempt to be more spiritual. Call me crazy, but I actually like it.

  • I am thankful that Oliver is such a good baby. How did I get so lucky?
  • I am thankful to have such a hard working husband. Luke has so much on his plate right now and I am so thankful for all he does for our little family.

  • I am thankful for our new recycling bin. I know that's not something you would usually be thankful for, but it makes it so much easier to do the whole recycling thing.

Good luck to all now that the holidays are here.

This year was the first year ever that Luke and I stayed home to pass out candy. Thanks to Amy, we had the best candy around. FULL SIZE candy bars.

Luke and I didn't really know what to dress up as, so Luke put on his Mexican shirt and sombrero, I put on...well my normal clothes and we called it good. We were a couple of Mexicans. It was easy and didn't cost a thing.
Here I am with my sweet little baby and Moose. Poor Moose always feels a little left out so he had to sneak into this shot.
Isn't he the cutest little Mummy you've ever seen? This was the best costume for a baby...cheap and easy except for when we had to change his diaper.
Here I am as a mommy mummy with my baby mummy at the Jensen's Halloween party. I found this costume a little uncomfortable and it was hard to wrap myself so that's why we just did something else Halloween night.
We hope everyone had such a fun and safe Halloween.
