Baby Shower!!!

Yesterday I went to one of the best baby showers ever! My Sister in law Amy threw this amazing shower together with some of the best food ever and I was able to see a lot of people that I don't usually get to see. Thank you to everyone who was able to be there and support us. You all really did spoil us a ton and Luke and I feel so lucky to have all of you in our lives.

I didn't really take too many pictures so if you want to see a really good blog about the shower go to Amys
http://thejensenhoard.blogspot.com/.

We got so many cute things from everyone. Seriously, we got spoiled.

Luke showed up at the end to help me open a couple of gifts.

I shot of half of the room and 2 of the three Diaper cakes we got. Luke was so excited to see that we got so many diapers.

A HUGE thanks goes out to Amy for hosting this party. She is an amazing sister in law and we feel so lucky to be so close to her and her little/big family.

Poor Moose

This past Friday Luke and I took Moose in to get fixed. We thought that when we picked him up at the end of the day he would be really groggy and out of it. He did come home and sleep for a while but this hasn't really seemed to phase him much. He's been wanting to play like normal and run around. He does however, follow us around jabbing his stinkin cone into the back of our legs...I think it's his form of payback.

4 YEARS!!!

Today marks mine and Lukes four year anniversary! 4 years ago we were already married, tired as can be and still taking pictures on the temple grounds. I will never forget how early we had to get up and how tired we were by the end of that long long day, but I loved every single moment of it! I cannot adequately describe in words the love and gratitude that I have for Luke. Everyday I find myself loving him more and more and I'm so glad that he picked me to be his wife. Luke is such an amazing person. We have so much fun together even if we're just sitting on the couch making up little rhymes and just being stupid. There is no one in the world who I feel more at comfort with and who I can be my crazy self with then him. You have to know that he's an amazing person to put up with my shenanigans. because of him I have learned who I truly am and my potential in this life. Thanks for everything Luke. I love you!

Boy or Girl?

So the wondering thought of the sex of our baby has been weighing a lot on my mind these days. Luke and I have been having dreams about both genders a lot lately especially me. It seem like every night I dream about one or the other. Last week I had vivid dreams about this mini Luke 3 nights in a row and then ended the week with a dream of a little girl singing in my ear. Strange I know.
Around work most people seem to think that I'm having a girl. When children have been asked they have been saying it's a boy. The Chinese lunar calender says boy. The heart beat is usually about 150 bpm which old wives tales say that if its 140 bpm or higher then it's a girl. I feel that I am carrying high so that means boy. I had really bad "morning sickness" so that means girl. I haven't had that glowing radiance that people say your suppose to have if you having a boy and those old wives say that if it's a girl she sucks out all the moms beauty. The funniest tale that I found was that if you notice that your left breast is bigger then your right then your having a boy...fortunately I think I'm pretty even in that region.
I know that whatever this little person is, we're just going to love it so much. I cant wait for the moment when they tell us what our baby is and I can't wait to call everyone up to let them know. This is going to be so much fun!

Family Night

So for a big family night which included my whole side of the family, my dad got us all tickets to go see the Bees game. I had never been to a Bees game until last night and I had a really good time. Here are some pictures.

Check out his all American wiener!!!

The kids all had a good time eating, chasing down Bumble the mascot to get their hats signed and cheering on the players.

Me and my Luke.

Jackson, the youngest of the group even had a good time watching everyone.

My older brother eating his cotton candy and completely fixed on the game... I think.

The Garden

Watching our garden grow has been one of the highlights of the summer...I know it sounds like we are a bunch of old people, but it really is pretty fun and rewarding. It all started last summer when my mother-in-law wanted to plant some tomatoes in our garden. Ever since I've been hooked and this year Luke and I decided what to plant. So far this year we have gotten about 7 zucchini, 8 cucumbers, 1 tomatillo and 1 pepper. We are just waiting for those tomatoes to ripen up and then we'll have gobs and gobs of tomatoes. Anyone want some?

There are no words to be said other then I love this picture because its so funny.

The view of the rapidly growing garden

I have been waiting for these cherry tomatoes to ripen up for so long. The other day I had 5 and they were amazing! Cant wait for more.

Our cucumbers. The best way to eat these are peeled and sliced with fresh lime juice and salt!

Our huge pumpkin patch! It's hard to see but we have a pumpkin in there. I don't even know what to compare it to because it's getting really big. It's bigger then any sports ball that I can think of. We're really hoping that it makes it for Halloween!

Painting

So, one of the things that we did this weekend was work on the babies room. We thought that it would be a good idea in helping us feel more prepared since we have so much to do. So, we plugged in the old CD player, Turned up the volume and painted away to some Phantom of the Opera, Frank Sinatra and the Best of Queen.

The color looks sort of ugly in the pictures. It's much different in person and is more red then what you see here. We really loved how it turned out.

To my surprise I actually enjoyed painting this time around. I just cant wait now to get carpet and then to be able to set up the rest of the room and decorate.
