Sleeping Babies

These two are the greatest. I couldn't ask for better babies. They are eating well, growing great and sleeping even better.

This particular night, just a few days shy of being exactly 4 months, they slept a solid 9 hours!
When I went in to find them, this is what I saw.

Briony had turned from her vertical position to a horizontal position. And all with just one free arm. I don't know how she did it.

Milo was still asleep until I had gone in there and started to get Bee ready to eat. He always wiggles out of his wrap and usually we find him sucking on his hand.

Let's hope they keep this up and that sleepless nights are over.

Memorial Day 2014

This year for Memorial Day we were pretty low key. We had driven home from STG and we were tired and ready to just be home. After a quick little hot dog roast with the kids and Jensen's we ran up the cemetery to visit graves and just in time to snap these pictures in the sunset.
(Lakeview Memorial Cemetery)
I know that Memorial day is to pay tribute to those that have fought and died for the freedoms in which we get to enjoy. I can't adequately articulate my thoughts on my gratitude and how awesome of a nation we live in, but I think President John F Kennedy said it best when he said,

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, Bear any burden, meet any hardship, support and friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
Since it is common to decorate all graves on this day, we left a few flowers and pinwheels on a couple of graves including my dads.
This was the twins first time up there.
Oliver is very familiar with this place and on occasion will ask to go up to Grandpa Bills.
Happy Memorial Day.

St. George Weekend -Luke's Birthday

On our way.
First time riding down to STG with the babies and crossing our fingers that they do well.
They made it all the way to Cedar with out a peep. We ate, fed them and changed them. This is how we roll.
Luke had a couple of meetings the following morning so the kids and I went on a walk. Oliver was such a great helper and the babies loved it.
(Also Oliver had to pee)
Love this summer view. We've been waiting a long time to do this.
The following day was Luke's Birthday! We sure love Luke.
His only request was to have dinner at Don Pedros, his favorite restaurant ever.
And for dessert, Nilson's Frozen custard.
Chocolate custard with Almonds and Cherries. SO good.
That following morning I went for a run. There is something pretty special about running in STG. I ran 3.25 and didn't have any knee pain. See, something special.
I loved relaxing with my kids.

And these two knew we were on vacation and decided to relax a lot as well.
We decided to glam up the place by finally framing this piece of "art".

We hiked around at Pioneer park. The babies loved their first time there and Oliver ALWAYS loves going there.
While the boys hiked through the crack, I hung out with these two.
The rock eating Oliver up.
Oliver found this seat and asked to have his picture taken.
Later that day we went to DP's again. Juan always waits on us anytime we go to eat there and he has quickly become our little Amigo. For over a year now, Luke has asked to buy one of their shirts and this day, Juan did not disappoint.
I worked on the rest of the puzzle during our stay and finished it. It was a tough one but we did it.
The river park was pretty fun to go to. Luke and Oliver played in the water while the babies and I sat around people watching. They ended up falling asleep and I tried my hardest to protect them from all the water fights that broke out.
One of my favorite things that I did down there was to lay out and read my book.
However while I was laying out, I spotted all these baby quail running around trying to find their mom. At one point some were lost and hiding in bushes around me. About 15 minutes later I heard the mom squawking calling her babies home. I watched them one by one come out and try to hear their way back home. I know the babies would have eventually found their mom, but they were totally going the wrong way and nearly running into the street. I caught three and let them go in the bush that their mama was in. They were the tiniest and cutest little things ever.

That night, We also found this fat little guy on the back patio. The only thing left to do was to catch a lizard or snake. Maybe next time.
We had such a great time spending three full days there doing everything we wanted. Oliver had such a great time. I was worried about him getting bored and not wanting to do anything we were going to do, but that was never the case. The babies were so awesome. They rode in the car so well and while we were there their sleeping through the night really took off. Celebrating Luke was also so much fun. He got new shirts, a new pocket knife and a paddle from the kids. I loved everything about spending the weekend with my family. We ate so good, played so hard and really did love it.

The Twins are 4 Months!

Four Months! Wow! These babies are just a joy. Things seem to be getting a lot easier with these guys. They eat well. Sleep amazingly well and are over all such happy babies.
Briony weighs 13 pounds and Milo weighs 16 pounds.

It's always fun to see the "behind the scenes" phot shoot. It takes an average of ten photos to find that perfect one and we are almost always guarenteed to have at least one falling over picture and a crying picture.

Grandest of Grandma Nights

Grandma Holly is so great to have Grandma night as often as she does. The kids love it and so do the parents. We always try to go out to dinner these nights.

This last time, we hit up Smoke N Bones in Bountiful and it was so awesome!
This was the meal that I got. SO MUCH FOOD

We then stopped by Jake and Becky's to check out their new play ground.
And then Trent and Amy's to check out the progress of their project

And finished the night off with some custard.
It was one of the best grandma nights we've had. Hopefully next time, Trent and Emily can join us.

Dinosaur Park

For Oliver's last day of preschool, we got to go to the Dinosaur park in Ogden.
(he's being a dinosaur)
When we got there, we had lunch and then went through the park to explore. Oliver was pretty scared to go see the dinosaur bones (I don't blame him. They are some what scary). It took about 5-10 minutes to talk him into finally going down to see them.

Still not so sure what to think.
This was one of our favorite statues. By this time, Oliver was having so much fun.
We compared our hand and footprints.

And walked around the whole park to see all the figures.

We met up at the education building to hear a story and make a craft. The teacher was did such a good job with the kids.

Afterwards we fed the huge fish that were in the pond. This was Oliver's favorite part.
Before leaving, we said goodbye to Mrs. Eggett. She was so wonderful with Oliver over the past years and we are going to miss her. Hopefully she will be around when the twins go to preschool. She really is the best.

And lastly,  because I don't get to have one on one time with Oliver very much, we went out for some frozen Yogurt.

I can't believe that next year he will be in Kindergarten. He really is growing up and I am so happy with the young man he is becoming.
