Here are my random pictures and posts for the first part of December.
On the 3rd, Luke and I attended a twins breastfeeding class. It was 2 hours long and it pretty much sucked. I was hoping to get some better ideas on how to breastfeed since my experience with Oliver was hell. Nope. Without going into too many details, I will just say that the whole experience sucked. It made me more anxious about nursing. Luckily, Luke was on the same page as me. In fact I think he hated it more than I did. At one point I looked over at him and his face and eyes were literally red. I knew he was hating it so with 10 minutes left of the class, we just stood up and politely excused ourselves. To make up for such a crappy class, we hit up Crown Burger on the way home. Crown Burger can make anything better.
Jake and Becky moved back to Utah and not just Utah, but Bountiful. One morning they invited all the cousins over to play tag in their big empty house. All the kids loved it and we love that the whole family is back together...within a 3 mile radius to be exact.
All the Veigel side cousins...minus Jack. He didn't want to be in the picture.
One night we had the Jensen boys sleep over. They watched a couple of movies, had some popcorn and stayed up late. They left some popcorn out for Monte to see if he would eat it.
He did and even left them this little note.
The next day the boys came to church with us. Sacrament meeting seemed to last a really long time that day. I decided to sketch them and I was cracking myself up with these awesome {Napoleon Dynamit-ish} pictures of them. They weren't too happy about my pictures...especially Oliver.
The other night I attended a Favorite Things party. You bring three of the same of your favorite things that are $5.00 or less. Everyone draws three names and then you go around and hand your gifts to the people that drew your name. I drew Julie W., Cindy M. and Melissa H. I loved their gifts and I thought this idea was so much fun. I gave a way little Body Shop body butters. Anyone that knows me knows that those really are one of my favorite things. I can't wait to do this again next year.
After dinner one Sunday, this group got together to play the game Tsuro. Luke bought this last month and it's actually a pretty fun game. We use to play games after dinner all the time but haven't in so long. It was fun to do this again with the family....even though I just sat and watched.
There is never a dull moment at work...never. This particular day we had a little fun with this Gorilla head dress. Jeff and Alema were especially funny as gorillas.
The other night we took a little stroll through this Layton City park. Oliver wasn't too thrilled about it, but it was still fun to drive through it with my little family.
Since I am pretty large and can't reach my toes anymore, I decided to treat myself to a pedicure on a whim the other day. I had some time to kill and I had heard great things about Tiffany nail and Salon. This lady and I were the only ones in the salon and it was heavenly. She scrubbed my feet so good and used hot stones and towels on my legs and massaged my feet and legs for the longest time. Best money ever spent on a pedicure.
This sweet little boy was so excited to show me his gingerbread house that he made in preschool. We love his teacher and all the fun things she does with them. We will sure miss her next year when Oliver starts Kindergarten.
I got some new kicks thanks to Alema and Jeff. I love Nike and I can't wait to work out in these bad boys.
And of course, I have loved getting the mail everyday to see which Christmas cards we got. There is something so fun about getting good things in the mail especially when it's the smiling faces of your friends and family.
I love this time of year. It is so busy, but so many great things take place.
